Eh? Why is it that every big push leaves me hanging?
Every major push, be it code or prose, leaves me in a “What the fuck do I do now?” state.
Come on! It’s not like I don’t have a bazillion things to do, is it? I have four other books to finish, plots to plan and an article series to write that I am already behind schedule on. I also have some sys admin stuff that I need to get to and about a ton of ( Read more... ) -
New old theme?
I just reworked the look on the Slamlander site. New theme with an old look I used six years ago. The new 2010 WordPress Theme has a lot of nice new features. So, I finally went for it, dropping my old theme along the way. It really was looking dated and pastel-ish. This one has a bit more visual impact and aggression (edgy?).

They may call us old-timers RINOs but the tea-baggers are what’s ruining the Republican party. As a life-long Republican, I strongly resent that.
Frankly, they should be called the Religious Nutjob party.

Now for some light hearted tech :) ***Geek Alert***
I built two new boxes. Both are running Win2kAdvanced Server. I also moved some network functions around and reallocate some additional resources. To do a proper Enterprise setup, you really need about 5 separate boxes. They don’t need to be fast but they need to be separate.

A comic strip
I don’t usually post about these but something that I found a while back and is now on the Caselle-Net members page. It’s called Girl Genius. Some of you may already know about it. Be careful, this one cost me an entire day to read from start. Well written with hilarious bit interspersed.

It’s coincidental that Salegamineand I were discussing our account renewal, on 30Nov07. Then, on 02Dec07, this blows up on our Friend’s list. After making my comment last night we discussed it over a concert.

Vista and the bloggers
This is my first real blog post on the new site. Geek Alert: this is heavily technical.

I’m still here
I’ve been looking into Windows Live Writer (WLW) abilities to deal with comments. Specifically, getting LJXP to mirror comments both ways. I’ve also been spending a lot of time logged in as ME, my RL identity. I’ve been trying to separate the two identities for later.
